IOGP-JIP33 has issued the S-753 - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) (IEC) specification documents for public review. The consultation period runs for 4 weeks and will close on Friday 7th February 2025 at 23:00 GMT.

The purpose of the IOGP S-753 specification documents is to define a minimum common set of requirements
for the procurement of battery energy storage systems (BESSs) in accordance with IEC TS 62933-3-1,
Edition 1.0 2018-08 Electrical energy storage (EES) systems – Part 3-1: Planning and performance
assessment of electrical energy storage systems – General specification, for application in the petroleum and
natural gas industries.
